The PS3 version played in 1080p, the 360 was 720p locked because it couldn't do 1080p.

Just think 720p was picked for the PC version so it could be played by a bigger user base.

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

There is some irony in that my windows pc runs on an nVidia (PS3 gpu driver based) graphics card...

It, the gameplay, was always 720p upscaled to 1080. Which is 1080i not p. There is a big difference. Only the video was at 1080p.
