I have sadly purchased 2 early access that I regret, made me stop buying them quick. I do like the fact you can hide them on the steam store now.

same, bought several when this nonsense started and will never buy another in my life. I deinstalled a few hours later. Rotting corpses in my library ever since. I suppose Steam will rethink this publishing strategy pretty soon. This is just BS. Endless waste of bandwith.
Fcking Rust gets 3 updates every day. Interstellar Marines will probably be released after HalfLife3. Those were only the ones I had hoped to be good.

I've purchased many early access games so far, and I have no regret purchasing them because I was purchasing them on the INFORMED basis all early access = highly Beta and uncompleted.

Plenty of early access games have play ability but not all. People jump in blindly expecting a fully playable game with no bugs. It's early access!

Now if it wasn't for the early access or kick starting of some of these games we wouldn't have a chance of games we do have that are of good quality from these independent developers. It's a good change up from the standard and waiting periods between triple A titles.

I've never purchased an early access game and never intend to.

I never did trust the ea concept and after reading this article, I can that mistrust was justified. I know some gamers enter into such a purchase knowing and willing to take the risk, but I'd hate to see this kind of game development become the norm.

This is fully my own opinion, and hate on it if you want:

All it is is Pre-ordering with the chance to play early.

People need to calm down and think for a second.

What do they do say when they pre-order GTA V for the PC? Same bleeding thing, but without playing it early.

    Common Sense people!

I think the difference is that you know that when ordering GTA5 that you are going to get a completely working game. With these early access titles, all you have is the promise of a working game sometime in the next 2-5 years which may or may not ever happen, yet you don't get your money back if it doesn't. If I pre-order GTA5 and they cancel the game before it's released, I get my money back.
