As far as the skill attributes go there maybe an easier option to manipulate and max them out other than playing matches/games in career.

In the career mode there is a net practice mini game that you can increase important skill points and see your current difficulty setting.

Every 6th ball you face in that mode you get a skill point, for example... on the sixth ball you hit you acquire skill points and 12th ball,18th,24th etc. all the way to 60.

I've been trying to freeze the number so every ball hit in the net practise mode is a skill point, but haven't quite worked it out, and it seems to crash the game for me.

It would be great if you guys could take a look at that game mode in career and see if the skill points could be maxed out or manipulated for the player in the net practice mode.

As far as the forced career mode option goes it works fine for me.

The game is really temperamental with alt-tabbing - have you tried running it windowed and then using CE?

I have managed to get this working on mine - the memory value changes each play of the game (I'm not an expert CE user by any means). I searched for double value with exact value 1 after the first ball, let the machine bowl down 3-4 balls without hitting them, then search for the changed by. That should usually come up with one address, which you can force to 5. Then hit a ball, exact value search double again for 1, then hit 3-4 more and you should get the address for the balls hit. Force that to 5 and you should get a skill point every hit.

I managed to get like 100 skill points before I got bored, and it worked okay. Tried it again and the game closed when I tried to save. I would recommend going in small bursts of 10 minutes or so of adding skill points, then repeating. Just so you don't waste an hour and have it crash with all your time lost

As soon as you put skill points on though, the game will decide you're ready for more of a challenge (even if you want to play casually) and force you up a level. At which point you have to basically learn all the timing again no matter how skilled you actually are at the game (went from batting 50-100 each innings on Amateur to out for 5-10 again on Pro).

Just to set the expectation straight. The Trainer option is working as TREO_X has mentioned. I was working with 0X90 (Markus). He did say the version of game File I had was different than his.
However, still managed to get the Trainer working.

    Things to keep in mind.
    1. Option 1 - MAX Attibute (This is for attributes not player batting and Bowling skills.) You can see the attribute while creating the player. This is to do with Fielding skills. So if you expect this to increase stats like onside skill, offside skill, flat bat skill etc.. THIS DOES NOT do that!.

    2. Option 2 - Career Difficulty reset. For this you will need to create a new career.
This is how it worked for me.
    a. Create a new player. Do all the required editing.exit the game.
    b. Launch the game. F1 at main menu to activate the trainer.
    c. Change the Career option in the trainer (THIS IS MUST, EVEN IF ROOKIE is SELECTED by DEFAULT..YOU STILL have to SELECT AGAIN)
    d. Activate the Option 2.
    e. Load the Career. Go to nets and see that it has changed.
Will work for the newly created career file.
It didn't work for the old career which was created before the patch.. don't know why.

I do have a different version of the game.exe as 0X90 mentioned.
This has something to do with steam region lock..

Actually I'm not really sure if there is any region lock. Because I've taken a look at several 'questionable' sources to verify and they all match with my version. The executables I've received match as well but my guess they are only packed thats why I couldn't opened them.

However good to know someone got it working that means my instruction isn't perfect only.

Are the career difficulty levels persistent through shut downs? If I start a new career at Pro, for example, then change to Rookie - does it stay at Rookie at next load, or go back to Pro?

Also, does this work every time - even after the game forces you up a career level? As that's the real problem - we can all set it on the easiest difficulty when making a new career, but if it can't be switched down later then it's pointless.

Just noticed. @remedialist is also right...
At first I thought that the Option 2 to reset difficulty level doesn't work on old save files. But that is not true.

This is what I discovered. My Old Save File had my player, who had progressed to PRO difficulty. (Helmet level 3)
Now When I tried to reset the option back to Rookie it didn't work it still showed PRO in the nets.
However When I moved to legend in the trainer it was able to make that change.

So 0X90 .. that doesn't actually solve the problem for anyone....
I doubt anyone will use the trainer to go to higher difficulty.

Can you send me your old save for testing? That would be awesome.

//edit: I've justed tested it on a new career with pro difficult. I was able to reduce the difficulty to rookie.

    Save file Emailed.!

    //edit:
Hmm.. Did you Play through from rookie and achieved PRO by "legit" means, I mean grinding through ?

I started a Career at PRO and was able to reduce it. But The game will change to a certain level once you improve your skills that cannot be brought down.
SideNote : This is the first sports game that does that.. very annoying.. I am pretty good at PRO as well.. But I play casually.. so want it to be fun not as a JOB!

For the life of me, I can't get this working at all. I have a legitimate copy of the game, I patched it, then unpatched it, then patched it, then got a "hacked" version of the exe file to try - cannot get the attributes to change, cannot get the level to reduce at all.
