Saw Godzilla on opening day and I gotta say the film was pretty disappointing. The fight with Godzilla were great and more than I could have hoped for. The human characters kinda sucked though.

Godzilla doesn't even show up until an hour or so into the film and when he does and you think he is going to fight they cut to a stupid kid lying on a couch and you see a few second of the fight on TV.

Sadly you don't really get to see Godzilla fight till the last 30 minutes or so of the film and when you do it is just for a couple minutes at a time and then they cut back to the main character or some other human.

Long story short: Godzilla and his fights are awesome and the humans suck and are boring.

This movie sucked. My 7 year old (which loves Godzilla) walked out of the theater before the last 30 minutes because Godzilla hadn't even been in the movie but for like 30 seconds at the hour and a half mark and she was bored to death.

I agree with you sir it is sucked movie. could not watch it for second time. graphic is ok. maybe this kind of movie is best watched in 3d .

I would prefer if the movie  include the robots from pacific rim and more kaijus in to it . that will be more story and fun to watch.


The story goes when Godzilla  keeping revenge for his mate . As told by nuclear scientists at the beginning of the story the mate was being attacked by the bat like monster to death. Which they eat nuclear bomb to grow and survive. So they ransacked all the nuclear plantation. When the bat monster is about to hatched another eggs it is pay back time for Godzilla. So it appears in Japan and and called 'gojira'.

Guilermo Del Toro(Pacific Rim Director) has said that he would love to see a crossover between Pacific Rim and a Godzilla sequel. Even if they don't they should get him to direct it. At least he knows how to make a good Kaiju movie.

Bad script plus poor acting can ruin even the most expensive movies ever made, on the other hand take a look at "Gods Of Carnage": the whole movie you see four people conversing in one small living room but you enjoy every second of it..

Personally all the modern versions suck!

Never watched any of the older ones. I enjoyed the movie. To each their own.

This Movie ROCKED IMO.
I loved it. It was a little drawn out towards the end,but,i think it was on purpose to draw you toward the big fight at the end.

The monsters/Mutos were done really well. The story was cool and the Actors were good.

If you guys remember the old 1950's black and white Godzilla there wasn't any action until the end and we didn't see Godzilla until the end. That's what made it so cool.

Building up to the suspense.
