Moving on is the best thing you can do. Gold is for only one very very small part of the game and is easy to get.

gold, gems and weapon/building materials are for ambition mode.

With this trainer my friend, gems and gold can be a breeze to accumulate

U can buy weapons in the story mode.
Things like "material" also exist in other modes ^^
