(Note I'm not staff but this has to be said)

Cheat Happens does not support nor condone the use of their trainers while you play online! Cheat Happens is not responsible for bans either. So please do be careful when playing online that you DO NOT HAVE THE TRAINER IN USE!

    Thanks captain obvious.

Withdraw your feeble aches and moans
Or suffer smite from this my hand.

i'm just reiterating what's been said soo many times before. Just so these people don't start complaining when they're banned for using the trainer online.

The problem is not just to play online mode. The problem is that unless you turn off the internet to your computer you play online mode even if the screen you're the one to play. In addition, many players have been banned while they were in this configuration even though they were playing solo. While they were in online mode but it is still something hard to accept because they are not bored nobody and that ban extends to all games associated with their accounts.
I will not defend anyone and I understand your position on this subject but it's a shame to ban so many people indiscriminately.

Well, FROM is catching lot of **** for their "anti-cheat" measures, so we'll see if they end up loosening them a bit.

It's a general rule of thumb that one doesn't use trainers in multiplayer games (also a general rule of fairness). With DkS2, however, sometimes multiplayer chooses you, rather than the other way around.

Many of us don't care for PvP in DkS2 and I think the devs should provide a way to "opt out" of the PvP features instead of going all ban-happy on players who gave them money for their game -- which includes its online components. I do like seeing phantoms and reading messages, but most PvP battles usually end up with one player falling off the edge of something... not all that fulfilling.

I have the game process blocked with my firewall and I play with Steam in offline mode. That's the only way I'm sure I won't get banned, which is stupid because I can't play online anyway (even without cheats) for fear that my graphics mods will warrant a ban. So, even without being banned, I'm more or less banned already.

    It's a paradox!

@shoresofexile: Actually, I remember that burning a human effigy in a bonfire will cease direct online interaction for about an hour, while leaving the passive things (stains, messages) in place; I think. Havn't tried. Mind you, that prevents not just invasions, but co-op as well.

Edit: It does prevent invasions and Player coop, it does not prevent summoning NPCs (like Lucatiel of Mirrah), nor does it remove bloodstains and messages. It really just blocks direct interaction with other players.

    It is a solution maybe.
