I just checked the price of the DLC - I'll buy them all for you if that matters.

And don't get me wrong - having the ability use any of the Resource boosters/Volcanoformers for free is *awesome*, and I'd love to see it actually included. But I wanted the Research because that's what always takes so long.

Anyways, I did some more testing, and good news, it is possible to get the Research cost reduction to work, if you do the steps very carefully, and *exactly* right - Open the research screen, "Capture Research", close the Research screen, open the Research screen, mouse over a research option, wait ~10 seconds, "Reduce research cost". I also tested this with several mods, custom races, and every single official DLC - it works with all of them.

However, once you mess up even once, the cost reduction option changes the cost of the Luxury resources instead.

It also doesn't work (for me) no matter how careful I am once I advance to a new Era. Exiting the game and the trainer, restarting both, and reducing the costs again will allow me to reduce the costs in the new Era.

I've been unable to get the research function to work on the latest versions as well. I've tried Drathe's workaround multiple times, but no luck. Also on Inferno DLC.

If you think the latest patch broke the trainer.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

I will if I become convinced the patch did break the trainer, but before filing those reports I do like to test thoroughly so I can make sure and also have more to report. I have not had an issue with this trainer on this title before this 1.6.4 iteration, and it says it supports all DLC, but the game changes code so frequently that it's a tough one to nail down. Drathe's workaround might just need a bit more tinkering in my case. Staff has enough to do in my opinion, if I can find a way to make this work as is. So far though I cannot. Have not yet tested most other functions with latest version.

I found a very different work-around for the research function which works for me. I attempted to explain it, but the firewall blocked my post (too much punctuation) and I haven't it in me to re-type it all again. It also looks probable that it will be different for everyone so my post would have had limited value. The only thing that works for me is much more complicated.

The capture unit functions, which used to work for me, no longer do no matter what I try so I'll file a report on those. Tested them for the better part of 2 days.

I'm afraid there might be something wrong with this latest trainer update: upon running the trainer as administrator, the trainer itself says "Invalid Trainer User" and won't activate in the game's main menu. However, when running the previous 1.7.2-S3 trainer version, that warning note does not appear.

Attached is a copy of the trainer downloaded 2019-07-12 for reference, just in case.

I'm having the same problem. It says I'm an invalid trainer user even after I made sure to disable antivirus and firewall before downloading, installing, and running as administrator. All other Cheat Happens trainers I am currently using are still working correctly. I thought maybe I was still doing something wrong now I'm not sure?
