    Found the solution.

Ok, let me explain : my windows account has administrative privileges. BUT, seems I needed to right clic on the trainer button and the game exe to run the one and the other as administrator... and THERE, it works.

didn't think about this earlier, as it never did that to me.

this is RIGHT THERE IN THE TROUBLESHOOTING section..

" Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7 or higher? Try running the game and trainer in compatibility mode. You can also try running the trainer as Administrator. Also, make sure you're using 32-bit mode and not 64-bit. Some newer trainers may work fine on Vista 32-bit and 64-bit without the need to run in compatibility mode. You will almost always have to run the trainer as Administrator however."

I WAS using the trainer with a "run as admin". The trainer was not crashing anymore, the game was.

When launching the game, it was through the disc's autorun, so never thought about closing the launcher, going on the disc and running the autorun the same way. Thought running the trainer this way was enough.

So for me the soution is here : running BOTH as admin (and not only the trainer)
