I hope that someone finds it, I can't imagine how relatives feel about not having conclusive answers.
I would like to post more thoughts but that would go against the board guidelines..

Yeah, they'll probably find it eventually.
They found the one that went down off of Brazil a year later.

Then explain why ATC changed the flight path? and rather intentionally..

Spoiler:They lost cabin pressure and everyone died.
The plane continued meandering about on autopilot and then crashed into the ocean.

That's most likely.
The second most likely is suicide, which is not unprecedented. In fact, it's rather common.

Yeah they will find. It it might not be today or tomorrow next week, month or year. It could be at any time.
