New build came out today. V1.43 is the latest.

is this game one of those early release titles? I can't remember. are you saying the trainer isn't working any more also?

I don't think its an early release.

In any event it now "released".

The trainer doesn't work, would be great if you could update it when you get the chance.

Well, the amount of crashes and problems seems quite unremarkable - they're not commonplace, and it's certainly not alpha or beta level. Late gamma, at worst. (When it comes to functionality introduced by the game's expansion/latest patches/DLCs.)

For the latest patch, the dev states:

"We've been keeping a close eye on the forums and our support mail address. Overall things are looking good, with most of the people playing having a good time with the Expansion and Patch. There were some issues reported where crashes were spoiling the fun, so we put together a patch for you to try. Hopefully this will resolve those issues and will allow you to play without issue over the weekend."

"Looks like there's no more critical issues - crashes - left, so I hope this patch will be officially released soon."


Personally, I'd rather see a dev working to improve their title than just throw it out and say "it's done - deal with it". (Sure, there are extremes in the other direction that are an absolute pain - games with an extreme focus on MP balancing are great examples.) *cough* Company of Heroes 2 *cough*



The trainer has been working great so far (the skill points are a bit of a pain though - especially as every new hero level resets the value to what it actually is, meaning you've gotta keep the button pressed for minutes to get any new points to spend... 5 points per press isn't a lot when you're at -1000 points or so. ^^), would be a shame to see it go. (Current trainer seems to crash the game when loading a map.)

well this game is literally patching every day now... is there really some point to releasing patches every day?

Thank you Cal. As soon as you get the time. We won't break out the pots of boiling oil or the rack unless you wait until the second Tuesday of next week.

Hehe, you've got a point - a small patch(/hotfix) was released just as I saw your post. Build 13148 is the most recent one now. ^^ (Unsure if it breaks the trainer, will try it out later today.)

Would be interesting to know their plans and procedure for deploying changes, fully understandable if you hold off for a while, especially if it's for a title that requires substantial reworking of a trainer, after a patch!
