The origin Digital Deluxe version of ME2 keeps telling me the trainer cant find the game. I've tried with both retail and steam/D2D versions of trainer. Can anyone help?

It is quite possible this version is not supported, someone who has tried it will have to help you though, I used retail.

I've just noticed that EA has updated the retail version of ME2 to reflect the Trilogy version and renamed the main executable.
In fact the only change to the game has been to rename MassEffect2.exe to ME2game.exe and put a new MassEffect2.exe which carries the activation details.
That way you can't just rename or copy ME2game.exe into MassEffect2.exe because the license won't load and then the game won't start..

Proposed Solution: I just found a neat and easy little workaround for anyone interested. You can just download a nocd version of MassEffect2.exe v1.02 and replace the pesky launcher executable (i recommend just renaming it) with the new file. That way you still retain online connectivity for your legal copy while being able to use the old retail trainer.
Note: if you want to upload your saves to origin's cloud storage you'll have to simply save your game, exit the game, return your old MassEffect2.exe to its place and run it. When Origin asks you which saves to keep you just click on Local Storage and you're set. Hope this helps guys! Worked like a charm for me..

thanks tentax.... fyi mass effect 2 is still active for updates on trainers but yet you will not release them? then why is the game not retired? that makes absolute no sense. origin ****ed me off game not found so i downloaded it threw steam again installed all my dlc manually game will not launch now..... so im back to origin which makes the game lag now that is beside the point. now i need a no cd .exe when cheathappens says updates are still active?? why?

the way the DLC and ea has changed the game they are now pretty much forcing origin. if there will not be one retire the game... i really wish you would update it one more time for origin and the games changing.

It used to work with Origin once upon a time and if all that is required is updating the trainer to reflect the changed file name why not put up an Origin trainer, or just retire the game?

Well, i had the same truble. Not one of the solutions didn't help in my case. What i did ? I just delete my origin mass effect 2 and install pirate repack. Yep, i now it's illegal, but mass effect 2 i needed only too make my one saves to play me3. Trainer works, saves works, game works, life is beautiful
    P.S.
Sorry for my English, it's not my fault, it's all google))

Simple solution - ORIGIN - Working with the Steam/D2D 1.02 version, all DLC included. 😀
Rename MassEffect.EXE/PAR to ME2.EXE/PAR - Rename ME2Game.EXE/PAR MassEffect2.EXE/PAR - Launch with MassEffect.EXE - should work for those with the ME2Game.EXE issues on ORIGIN.

I have tested most of the trainer functions (but not all) - unlimited fuel/health/squad health/easy hack/unlimited ammo all working.

    Happy Gaming!
