F1 key not working-please help

When I activate a trainer and then start the game the trainer is for, I press my F1 key to activate the trainer and nothing happens-there is no voice saying "trainer activated". Can someone tell me what is happening? I have windows 7 64 bit with internet explorer 11. Thank you!!
