Yes, same issue. Trainer runs and is activated, but selecting the different trainer options... nothing happens.

Edit: I saved the game and exited, closed the trainer and started everything up again and it worked as normal.

Above two posters: See my posts on the last page as this is the usual case of the crash (you can confirm the error code in your event logs or probably the reliability report).

If all else fails please run an sfc /scannow at the command prompt and report the results.

done, still crash , by the way, i havnt even started the game yet

i dont get it, why cant i get the trainer to work, i have done everything, i even dis my AV, still it wont work...werd

Read - it can be pronounced to different ways depending on the inflection.

As for Caliber's post - it happens a lot. Pity the posts by CH staff are not pinned to the top of each new page.

Basically more often than not it comes down to the same things going over & over - AV, Firewall & admin mode being the most common.

After that its silly things like people with 32 bit systems (or OS's) running 64 bit programs. People not reading the NFO file and following it exactly.

99% of the time its basically human error. 1% of the time your offline & dont have an offline key :P

Hi guys. Caliber, PWizard, I've been thoroughly impressed with and grateful for your service for the last five years. Thank you for your prompt and efficient service over the years. I've never had any issues except for the normal false positives and the like. Unfortunately, like the many other Vista x64 users it seems, I've been having the recurring issue of the Banished 64-bit trainer crashing on execution. I do have a legitimate copy of Windows Vista (though it still makes me cringe...), and after having followed the directions of Neo7(Much respect Neo, for your working in sorting through this cluster-....), I've been unable to successfully launch it.

I've tried executing as an admin, setting both the folder and file to exception for my anit-virus, temporarily shutting down my anit-virus, doing a clean boot as Neo had suggested, and have been left scratching my head. I'm somewhat tech-savy, enough so that I've meet some success using CoSMOS, which has only increased my respect for you at CH because of the hit or miss results I've been having (I've successfully edited food and herbs thus far, but only during the first year or so, and only within the storage cart.)

Seeing as this error seems to be appearing with Vista users, I'd be inclined to think rather than anti-virus, spy-ware blockers, or the like, it might have something to do with some of Windows security softwares (I've had occassional issues with Data Execution Prevention in the past). Granted, I'm only somewhat tech-savy, so I may be way off in left field.

Hopefully this can be resolved, or even a work around for the affected parties found. If there's is anything I can do or provide to assist in doing so, let me know.
