NOTICE: This was one of the most difficult games we have ever attempted to train and we actually spent more time making the trainer than the developer spent on making the game. This game is a terrible mis-mash of every idiotic game developer mistake known to man. The game patched 3 times just while we were working on it. This is a new low for Valve allowing this kind of garbage to be sold on Steam as an actual "game". Regarding the trainer, it will either work or it won't. We did everything we could to error trap all of the dev's mistakes and make the trainer auto-find and auto-fix the various issues (why does the game run 3 identical copies of the exe into memory? -- who ****ing knows!). So, take it or leave it on this one.

Using this Trainer
------------------
Launch the trainer first, then launch the Game and then Press F1 at the Main Menu.
Listen for "Activated".

Press desired option key


Options

Numpad 2: Level Up

Numpad 4: Period Points

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD TRY TO ENGAGE OPTIONS ONLY WHEN THE ITEM THAT THE
OPTION AFFECTS IS VISIBLE OR ENGAGED. PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. IF
AN OPTION DOESN"T APPEAR TO WORK, YOU MAY HAVE ENGAGED IT TOO EARLY, NOT WAITED
LONG ENOUGH TO SEE IT HAS CHANGED, OR YOU MAY SIMPLY HAVE TO RESTART THE GAME
AND TRY THE OPTION AGAIN AS DESCRIBED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.

ALSO, NOTE THAT IT MIGHT BE BEST TO PAUSE THE GAME, THEN ACTIVATE THE OPTION(S),
THE UNPAUSE THE GAME FOR SOME OPTIONS.

WHEN YOU PRESS AN OPTION KEY FOR THE FIRST TIME, IF THE GAME HAS NOT FOUND THE
CODE TO MODIFY, YOU WILL HEAR 'TRAINER CANNOT FIND GAME' AND THEN AFTER A SHORT
TIME YOU WILL HEAR 'ACTIVATED'. PRESS THAT OPTION KEY AGAIN AND IF YOU ARE IN
THE CORRECT SPOT IT WILL WORK FROM THAT POINT ON. IF NOT, THE TRAINER CANNOT
FIND THE CODE YET AND YOU NEED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.

IF THE TRAINER APPEARS TO NOT BE WORKING AT ALL, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO COMPLETELY START OVER FROM A FRESH GAME FROM SCRATCH. TO DO THIS

YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO DELETE THE CURRENT SAVE DIRECTORY. THE TRAINER MAY NOT WORK WITH SAVEFILES THAT ARE ALREADY IN PROGRESS TOO LONG.

Numpad 1: Heal Player - make sure you are in the action portion of the game
and then press this key. You will hear "Trainer cannot find game"
and then after a few moments you will hear 'activated'. If you are
near death you may need to try this while paused.

Numpad 2: Level Up - make sure you are in the action portion of the game
and then press this key. You will hear "Trainer cannot find game"
and then after a few moments you will hear 'activated'. The
level up window will display and you can pick your bonus.

Numpad 3: Credits - make sure you are at the Upgrades section of the game where
you can see your credits. Press this key. You will hear "Trainer
cannot find game" and then after a few moments you will hear 'activated'.
You will have more.

Numpad 4: Period Points - make sure you are at the Upgrades section of the game
where you can see your points. Press this key. You will hear "Trainer
cannot find game" and then after a few moments you will hear 'activated'.
You will have more.

This trainer will allow you to customize the keys if you desire! Use our

Trainer not working

Trainer is designed to work through patches. All complaints will be ignored and we will not be working any further on this game. Read everything I wrote and Cal's notes.

Love these type of games so I supported the kickstarter for this, but I do understand that bad programming can really make your job suck. I'm a network admin and run into crap failing all the time and also having to fix previous people's mistakes. Haven't even tried the trainer, so not sure if it's working for me or not. Doesn't really matter. I still appreciate all the hard work you put in. If it's more trouble than it's worth, though, I can understand tossing it. Thanks for giving us this, also. =)

I just tried our trainer with legit steam version and it works fine here.

remember, do not activate trainer until at main menu. Also, options should not be used until as described in the instructions.

lastly, for the trainer to work you may actually have to rename your save folder and start fresh (you can always rename your old save back if you want it back)

save games are located here:

C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Local\OurDarkerPurpose

The weird exe thing is one of the first things I noticed with this game... Because of that I didn't expect to ever see a trainer for this game just because of the awkward way it runs but you did it! You're the best!

the trainer was working
but i had to restart the game 20-30 times for it to work
that was anoying but it worked


with the new update 413
the trainer is not working anymore

i tryed everything restarting the game over and over , deleting the savegame

before the update to 413 the trainer always said "game not found ... activated"
now the trainer only says "game not found"

please consider to update the trainer


edit: after 100 times new starting it worked now but thats not something a trainer should take to work. please give the trainer a new look
