if memory serves me correctly; at one point in time CH trainers where all x86 (32-bit) versions. More recently some of the newer games (i.e. COD Ghosts) are using the 64-bit system. Does this mean that to use a 64-bit trainer on a win 7 OS installed at 32-bit one would have to re-install to the 64-bit system? or is there a more practical way?

64 bit trainers require the 64 bit version of the game and of your OS. There is no workaround. I hope this answer your question.

yes it does! thank-you for a specific and non-evasive(or deleted) answer. I guess CH can't make a 32-bit trainer for COD Ghosts than?

I don't know as I didn't made this trainer nor taken a look on the game itself. However it's up to us to decide which platform we support and which game version we train. In most cases we choose to train 32 bit games as they're a lot easier. But sometimes we make a 64 bit trainer for example if the game forces the users to run the 64 bit version on 64 bit systems and we don't want to make an additional launcher.

If I understand it correctly, if the game forces you to use 64-bit settings and there is no 32-bit option, the trainers will be 64-bit. If the game only runs in 32-bit, then the trainers will work as 32-bit. The problem arises when the game either lets you choose whether to use 32 or 64-bit settings or if the game can choose which setting it runs in. In that case, I would assume that if there is a choice, CH probably made the trainer in 32-bit, rather than 64-bit.

Long story short, if CoD ghosts only runs in 64-bit mode, and the current trainer works...then the trainer is, in fact 64-bit. I also would think (though I'm not 100% sure, that 64-bit systems are backward compatible, bit 32-bit systems aren't forward compatible. Though, as I said, I'm not exactly sure if that's the case).
