Question: I am having trouble finding the savefiles, as I have no AppData folder at any of my drives. Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, so maybe that's what makes this difficult for me? Anyways, do you know where I can put the trainer to make the options work on my system?
Your "appdata" might be hidden. Make sure you check the "hidden items" in your explorer - view.

Edit: Checked the folder properties, and the hidden box was unchecked. (guess that means it's not a hidden file? Or am I just being an idiot again?)

The hidden box was unchecked, meaning that the explorer won't show any hidden folder. Try to check it.
I have found that file, but haven't had any luck with renown. I am in a caravan, right in the beginning, hit the button at the main menu. Trainer says activated, press F6 and F9 for supply and renown, but no increase in either. The trainer says activated when I press the F keys.
"Use the options AT THE MAIN MENU. After
you have used the options you wish, close the game and then close the trainer.
Restart the game and then click RESUME and when your game loads you will see
that the options have worked where indicated."
