I found this info on a forum, so I do not take any credit.
Locate the "resume.save.json" file.
Mine is here:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\TheBannerSaga\Local Store\save\saga1\
Open it with notepad++ or any other text editor.
There you can look for your "renown" and change it the way you want to.
(there are two seperate entry's, better change them both)
You can also level up your fighters by changing their number of kills to anything above 20
there is also a way to give each character some good items.

Messing with these stats puts your available skill points below zero. But i didn't expirience any trouble.
