I've activated the trainer, I've got the little cursor in the bottom left corner after having left clicked there, but no keyboard keys result in any writing appearing in the developer console.
This is the same issue I was reporting 5 months ago.
What am I doing wrong?
The game was updated today with no notes yet published, so perhaps they've disabled the console again?

I tested the trainer again today and it works fine, do not forget to run it in administrator mode.
Here's how I apply the cheats:
1) F1 at main menu
2) Start single-player and press NumPad 1.
3) Open a window, I'm using "I" for inventory.
4) Click on the bottom left corner of the monitor.
You should see the flashing cursor where it should be.

It turned out that the cursor first appears above the text entry line.
I was clicking on and trying to write in the output box rather than the input box of an invisible dialogue window.
The trainer instructions might want to include this detail as it's very vexing.
Confirmed, the version is now Beta 0.6 while the trainer's still in Alpha 9, and detected by P_E_Client.exe
