It's best to wait until RWS updates the gog version after the steam version is 100% finished. It should only take a few more weeks.

How do I know when it's updated? I never updated a game from gog, didnt even know that there is such thing.
Will I get a notification of some kind?

There will be a notify icon in your game library once you logged into your account on their website.

Will there be any more options added to this trainer? Also much appreciated for the trainer you did post.

No more options are planned. If I remember correctly there are cheats or cheat mods out you can use.
//edit: Just to be clear, the game is pretty old and difficult to train (no surprise for the lack of trainers). That's why I'm rejecting to add more options.

update 1413 is out now, and the trainer no longer works.

With the new update it has a lot more features which you can find out for yourself
I've already had the chance to use them back in beta testing.
