I don't no if any of this will really happen, but I sure hope they will go to Japan.
if any of you know or have a idea where they will go next, please share with us..
But I hope they go to Japan, like I said about a year ago.
I thought I would hate this game, but I got it cheap on PS3 thinking well Desmond is over with whats the point, and I am actually enjoying it... the open world sailing is a good bonus.
One thing though, the Animus pieces are placed in easy places mostly. So no difficulty getting them, but the treasure maps.... ouch, wish they allowed us to see the co-ordinates without going to the map each time, or to show co-ordinates at the pointer on the map.
The things I am not keen on is the First Person office view, there is hints of places to climb etc, but its not going to happen in that view.
And computer hacking seems to be easyish.
If they had to do a Japan game I'd rather have it set during the Boshin War period Meiji Period. Imperials vs Shogun with foreign influence everywhere, and people for and against modernization.
This would allow for a more open ended Assassins Creed rather then the Ninja vs Samurai stuff we've been getting when it comes to old time Japan.
Given the Boshin War was the turning point for the whole country. It was the end of the Samurai and the old way, and the path starting to the modernization of Japan.
In a way it could a nice way to show a proxy war between the Assassins and Templars. The Assassins could be a somewhat isolated sect given the history of Japan being closed, and the Templars could be part of the foreign influence, and the old Shogun. Also Assassins from around the world showing up to help with the Assassins, all the while raising questions on if they should accept foreigners and their different ways in order to help their cause.
In a simple outline it would be like this.
Isolated assassin group (from the rest of the order) they've developed their own systems and creed.
Templars who are also isolated and developed their own systems and creed.
The two groups fighting against each other from the shadows.
The Boshin War breaks out.
Assassins and Templars from around the world step in to help their side gain victory.
Both sides wondering what is the right path with all these new influences, and what their place in the world, and their organization means.
I wouldn't call it the next assassin's creed but it's for PC and not handheld console so I suppose it's gonna be alright, and Japan? I don't know how they would intend to pull that off but then again neither did I know for black flag, but I did like Spoiler:
