XCOM: Enemy Within Message Board  

Sorry to say, but that just confused me even more.
Been a while since I played last, but if I recall correctly when I start the game is starts as unknown, then later I can choose to go with the within story.

So it sounds to me like I would need both trainers.

When you start up the game, you get a launcher, where you can choose either the original, or Enemy within

im gonna assume you play with the expansion, so you need the trainer for Enemy within

Thats one of the things I love about this site, people being friendly and try to help each other.
And yes even though one of you confused me even more, at least you tried to help, and thats whats important.

Hey all.

I'm completely new to this website and the trainer thing in general. I don't really know what's going on, and would greatly appreciate help. Okay, so the cheats for battle work perfectly, I have no problems with them. What's weird is that for me, Add Alloy, Elerium, and Scientists doesn't work. Adding Meld and Money is just fine though, and I thought that engineers didn't work until I somehow accidentally got 1000 of them.

I'm almost positive I'm just missing a step, I just don't know what. I've already tried activating the cheat and pressing the + button before the deactivated sound and after. I've tried on the engineering screen, the research tab, even mission control. It just won't work.

When you activate the cheat for alloys, elerium, money or meld
Activate the cheat on the main basc screen (where you can access engineering, research, barracks, etc)
When you hear 'activated', click to enter engineering or research
Wait until you hear 'deactivated', then exit out to main base screen
The values should have increased by about 10,000, without having to press the + key

When it comes to adding engineers or scientists, I use the editor

I hope they do not put in this many counter measures in xcom 2, so our trainers work like normal, you can make this one work no doubt but damn the work around solution is frustrating had 2 corrupt games now where manufacturing and research all of a sudden would take 8000days to complete. had to use earlier save game.
