I've heard some really harsh stuff on launch and wanted to know has it improved yet. Many peeps said Shogun 2 is still there best one but I wanted to hear from my CH family before I decide to purchase or just wait. Thanks in advance you guys.

Well I bought S2 instead as my first official entering into this franchise. (But I heard they are still bringing out patches still).

do yourself a favor, and wait another 8-10 months, save yoursel alot of trouble

the game, is far, far away from a enjoyable playable state, and frankly, i have doubts if it will ever be fixed

Its very good now. No crashes or slowdowns anymore. Give it a go.

Rome 2 is still pure agony when you compare it to Shogun 2.
    Spoiler:

AI is still useless for the most part
    Graphics still glitch
Crappy Graphics even when on Ultra+++++++

If it is your first time into the Total War series then go with Shogun 2, is a far more complete game than Rome 2 in its current form. I see that they are adding bits of the game back with each new patch which just enrages me even more.......

don't listen to this fool, the game is still utterly broken, and CA even had the balls to start releasing DLC already, the smucks

I had replayed a full run on Shogun2 after I experienced the same things as all other people said. Even until now Rome2 still sucks and disappointed with gigabytes of updates (i have limited internet quota here so its a waste of data )
