One thing I would point out is that this would never had made the news if it wasn't for the fact that he had bought a copy of a game that the tabloids like to kick up a controversy over. The fact is that city life can be dangerous and people get mugged all the time without making the headlines. We can't even be certain that the game was the target of the muggers. He had other items on him that he had purchased plus personal items (Wallet, Phone etc.) Only the game gets mentioned though because that's what makes the story. The papers make no mention that this could be a random attack. No the focus is entirely on the "controversial" game. (Minor press rant over)

Well I just watched more interesting videos from release date. Some will probably get taken down. But there was more than just simple muggings. One of them was a man having his head smashed into the counter and the game taken off him. There some other articles I would post but as usual I go to sleep and the system cleans itself..... I really need to turn the auto feature off. But am to lazy to manually do it. But anyway. There has been attacks/muggins fights over other games. Press hyping it up or not it still happens.


@fullmetal5550 Oh dude. I can tell you Midnight launches are more trouble than they are worth. As they are antisocial hours involved. Being a former Security guard and can tell you after several instances our center never allowed midnight launches dude to that extra trouble that has been shown in the past. Personally go during the day.

Oh I've no doubt there have numerous negative events around this. Just don't like the way the papers sometimes twist events or only selectively report information. Personally I think midnight launches are a silly idea and do encourage the kind of people who would choose to rob people to appear (Like lions at a watering hole) If you know when and where a target is gonna be, it is easier for sure. Persoanlly I've never gone to one because quite frankly I've never been that desperate to play something at 1 in the morning.

now that's ironic.

This release gets madder the more i hear about it, some fans of this game are bordering on zealotry there is an actual gtaV "group" in our university, hanging up posters and sh*t.

does any1 see the irony in this?
