One thing that bugs me is the stupid squalor. I mean almost every building seems to cause it, its like CIV III and the stupid pollution that you were constantly cleaning up.

the logic behind squalor is a strange one


why does building a port, which would bring in food, and jobs, unhappiness, same goes for farms, or any +food buildings, imo, they should all give +order, instead of squalor

the military upgrades i can understand, as people could view an increased garrison as oppression

More food, more people?

The mechanic with squalor reducing buildings isn't exactly new either. Been building a lot of those in Empire to make sure people don't rebel.

Though, so far I've thoroughly enjoyed making elephant steaks with my hoplites and archers with fire arrows.

Yeah I was shocked when I took down a Indian Elephant troop with fire javelins.. I was dreading the elephant charge then poof! a salvo of Javs and no elephants. Indian elephants are armored also. 🤔
