hehe sorry I could not resist. But I hope you do sort it bro Never really had to and I have never kept up with the subject so I always thought since me working at C3 you could always recover what was on the drive. Unless it was majorly damaged.
Can anyone recommend the best freeware to completely format and wipe all traces of data from hdd?
actually its simple, just take a sledgehammer
bad part is you need and again to buy a new hd
Or we could request a trainer to Caliber or 0x90 to write us a trainer that when pressing Numpad 0, it will write zeroes to all HDD sectors! yay!
Lol and after that the trainer will destroy itself in 10..9..8..
There is plenty of free 0-formatting tools out there.
Just google that or zero format tools and you will find some.
And it will make data unrecoverable.
EDIT: I have used DBAN and KillDisk in the past, both are good
