I have to say 30fps actually does look good on my 1920x1080 32inch HD sony. Then again I don't get why folk scream at why they're not getting 200fps. But thats off the point. I do feel that 30fps on a bigger rez does seem to be smoother well for me that is. But then again I would not notice fps change unless it got way too intense or I had one of those fps checkers.
Thats the thing I get in coh2 about 120 fps with ultra settings but when many tanks or rockets fire at the same time the fps drops to 35-50 and it's really noticeable even annoying for me..
If 30 fps runs smoothly on full hd res it's good news since I'm buying a new screen next month. (:
Doesn't smooth fps depend on the lighting in the room? normally, light flashes in a bright light leave an impression in the eye that lasts about 1/60secs so a constant 60 FPS is needed to generate a feel of constant movement, but in a Dark room like a cinema's movie hall the impressions last about 1/30secs so only a 30 FPS is needed to give the feeling of constant animation.
So in short terms have you tried playing in cave-like conditions?
seriously?
