Ok I tried several more attempts, on different systems win7/8 64bits. Without AV. with the special instructions, with the instructions TMP gave in this thread. I even tried it with a .exe without DRM. It just doesn't work for me.
I even tried the steam comp tool. I do not hear activated. With the trainer I also get nothing when pressing F1, I do see it picking up the F1 key, the trainer briefly shows a status change in the lower left. But it does nothing. I don't know what it is, I also don't know why this trainer needs admin rights where the other before didn't.
Not sure what you're doing wrong. Are you sure you're following the intructions from _MP_ exactly? This process is quite different from the old way and is brought on because Steam chose to make life more difficult for no good reason! The trainer works great when I follow those specific instructions. CH has done a great job, Steam has not.
I followed it to the point, but when I start the comp. tool, nothing happens, it doest activate (I hear nothing)

l have followed the instructions, always have run both Steam and CH Trainers as the admin, shut off Norton 360 Premier so no anti-virus or firewall, and though I get the activated from the Steam compatibility tool and "trainer activated" from the trainer, when attempting to use the trainer in game, nothing happens. I have tried this numerous times under Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit), going so far as to do both a restart and a cold boot to make sure nothing was still running unseen by myself. One time I have even had the compatibility tool activate and had the game CTD, though out of a couple dozen tries it only happened once.
This one has me stumped. I love the CH trainers and am a lifetime member, so I fully back the efforts of the trainer devs, and I don't blame them at all. In the last week I have had Steam force me to update at least five times (it could be more), so it appears they are screwing around. Could it be an issue with them, or maybe a Windows 64-bit issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok I got it to work, here is the thing... The current trainer just doesn't work when I'm running it as a standard user, although I'm starting it with (another accounts) admin right.
I make it a habit of always running as a standard user, never as a full admin, and only give certain tools elevated rights when they are needed. In the past this always worked with CH trainer. For some reason it doesn't with this one. As soon as I made myself a full admin, it worked off the bat.
Each time I run it I do it with an account that has full admin rights. I even right click on trainer do run as administrator and still as soon as I hit F1 hear trainer activated it then shows the help screen in game and the game crashes. Any one have any other idea how to fix this?
