I unlocked guns in the skills menu, completed the Fire Sale side quest thinking that might get me guns, what do I have to do to get guns? Is it a matter of leveling up to a certain point or completing a certain team sidequest?

At the Japanese bunkers you will get a gun ;-)

I found my first pistol at the Santa Maria Sanctuary, I just wish they'd have added some new weapons beyond the standard pistol, revolver, autorifles and shotguns, like some Pythons or Desert Eagles, MP5's, P90's, Spaz 12 shotguns etc...
