"The GTX 770 is essentially a re-badge job. As with the GTX 780, there are no advancements in silicon production that we expect to lead to performance or power-consumption enhancements. Instead the new card sports a modest core overclock from 1,006MHz up to 1,046MHz (1,058MHz to 1,085MHz boost) and a slightly more significant memory overclock from 6GHz to 7GHz."

A 780 is the only 700 series that is worth getting until the 790 comes along (which may not be soon due to the titan just releasing)

Personally i'm waiting on the 800 series. Odd-numbered nvidia cards are often lazy.

Well for starters the 780 has the same gk110 nvidia chip as the titan, for comparison the gtx660-690 are all based on the same chip gk104 which is slightly inferior to this one, so like it says no significant advancements in silicon production.
Nevertheless here is the comparison between the 680 and the 780: Link
Looks like the the 780 is better by far..

Some good deals on with the 770GTX 3Gb and 780GTX 3Gg. i have just updated to a 780GTX 3Gb from the manu who built my rig Cyberpower. The 680GTX 4gb from Palit is a really good card and the price has dropped some since the launch of 770&780.

The gtx680 4gb version exceeds my budget, I think i'll go for the 2gb version finally..

At least you checked up, but yeah, 780 is nice its a step downed Titan.

But the 760 or 770 when available will be a more affordable card with the same better performance than the previous kepler family.

At the moment the 770 is on sale for the base price of €399,00 or £342-ish.

Which is cheaper than some of the Israeli sites I noticed is selling a 680 for 2200-2800 shekels depending on what you are getting.

Unfortunately this was the cheapest 770 I could find you can buy directly in Israel (damn they love to whack on extra pricing don't they lol) an extra £60 - 80 euros

    Link

    Maybe cheaper importing one?

Thanks man but you're right, sadly the importing taxes are much much worst...

edit: I see but 680 is a best seller and it's drivers are up to date with many fixes since it's marketed, the new cards are probably better but you'll have to suffer for a while till all drivers will update, dont you agree?
