Sadly this is happening to me as well, running with the trainer causes a crash as soon as I try to build anything. What I did was F1 (Trainer activated) then tried to build a base structure (eg hangar). I've tried several times with different structures, same effect: Crash.
Hopefully this issue can be resolved as I love the CH trainer for xenonauts, makes me feel like a super avengers team in every ground mission.

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but it looks like they added some sort of new feature. Whenever I turn on the "unlimited moves" feature the entire action bar turns orange and I can not move at all.
I think they added fatigue/dread or something. I can send a savegame if that would help.

They just released the "final" version of the game and my trainer stopped working.
