Thank you for clarifying the situation… I do appreciate the time and effort you share.

Just one more question if you don’t mind. When you force run 86x in the folder do you get any games in the online character server list which you can join and is your online online character grayed out in the menu?

I don’t see any games being hosted on my "online character list" if I pick “character” and create an online hero, as that’s the only way to get online thru forcing the game to start in 86x and have the trainer working.

At first, I was thinking that it has to do with the "online character bug" which you mentioned in previous post that was posted on steam forum.

The strange thing is, if I force run the game thru 86x in the folder all the options in the menu are highlighted except “online character” which is grayed out. Why is that?

If you start the game from steam list, online character is highlighted and the server list works fine.

Any thoughts on that…?

Link (startup from 86x in folder) online character option is missing and not working, but trainer works.

Link (startup from steam game list) online character is not missing and trainer dose not work.

Any ideas on how to make this trainer work "online character" as playing thru "character" is not really online but a offline mode if you want to use the trainer.

Rename the original launcher (VanHelsing.exe 63kb) with the supplied one. Lauch your game via Steam and voila ! Local and online char are available, no shader errors and working trainer.
(tested on Win7 x64)

Gawd! don't ya wish u was as brainy as Caliber! is there nothin u can do Caliber Proper computer nerd u r! u know every trick in the book for getting games to work your ways. Damm when i grow up i wana be like u hahahaha

Yup, patch broke it. Worth noting, you have to rename the launcher, as noted above, for it to work. Thanks for getting stuff out so fast though (even if a quick patch undid it)!

trainer won't activate for me. correct version. used the launcher supplied by caliber. i duno how this has happened but for some strange reason the orig Exe has gone. now game is fookt. Have to reinstall. oh well
