wrong: ch launcher only launches the x86.exe , cal changed the x64 into x86, so no matter what win32 64 bits you use it always starts up the x86 mode

that is if you renamed the original vanhelsing.exe and copied the ch exe to the game folder and renamed that one to vanhelsing.exe

if you did the latter the steam launcher makes use of the ch exe and always starts up in x86 mode.

SPECIAL NOTICE: In less than 24 hours, this game developer has released three different versions of the game, each more screwed up than the last. For this reason we have had to make very specific instructions on how to use this trainer so that the game runs in 32-bit mode and the trainer options work correctly. If the developer continues to patch the game multiple times per day or makes the game even more unplayable than it already is, this trainer may be retired. It is highly recommended to put this game and Steam in offline mode and do not allow it to patch further. Otherwise, using a no-cd fix for the original game version may also be required. This trainer will ONLY work using the instructions provided with the included special launcher.

Can totally understand that, These creators r takin pizz with all these updates. Can't expect you to keep updating every bloody few hours. Switchin this onto offline now. But thanks again for the update.

My is Bootcamp win7 32Bit, just use the trainer 1.0.01 less than 12 hours. Now play with trainer 1.0.02 it still works!
The trainer never put together with the game directory.

What I do for every Steam game is to use a .txt file called steam_appid.txt since it allows for launching the game exe directly without Steam triggering.
(Steam will still be used of course.)

For this game, since launching the game exe directly or starting the game from Steam would otherwise run the launcher exe and automatically run the 64-bit exe if it detects a 64-bit version of Windows you can instead use that file and then start the x86 exe directly.
(Make a shortcut for it if desired.)

Steam_AppID.txt should contain the ID the game has on Steam which is 215530

However I also read a earlier post that one could simply replace the default launcher with the launcher included with the trainer and have the game default to the 32-bit exe that way which might be even simpler.

Oh and nice to see the trainer already updated for 1.0.0.2, however they still have a number of known issues (Several of them related to multiplayer.) so a 1.0.0.3 patch will probably follow shortly.
(NeoCore has this problem with their games, King Arthur: The Role-Playing Game series for example.)

I just wanted to mention something here. I really do feel for Cal and PWizard and the rest of trainer contributors.

These people have been doing this kind of work for many, many years and are experienced individuals in their own field.

I just wanted to state that I do feel your pain when it comes to the process and balancing act you people put yourself thru.

On one hand you have the eager members and on the other hand you have your logical experience telling you ”We should wait with developing a trainer, until this new game matures and stabilizes before releasing a trainer”. And at the same time you want to provide the fastest service possible without compromising the quality and that in itself gives you my respect, as it’s a hard thing to balance.

As a member, Slow down! And take a long hard look in the mirror and find some patients, respect the process these developers go thru to, because there is a lot of effort, time and hard work that goes into dealing with the aftermath of releasing a trainer.

Paying customer or not, If you STOP and think about it, You are actually piggy riding of their hard work. like many here, I see value and great dedication to service, SERVING YOUR NEEDS!

I just want to say that cheat happens members should put a bit more faith and trust into the cheat happens teams ability’s because these people are always pushing 150% to provide the BEST ****ing trainers you will find.

Point being, help the cheat happens team and provide feedback and understand that they are here for you so return the favour and be here for them to.

Help them by being and showing that YOU CAN WAIT instead of having a greedy me, me, me…needs to be served attitude on the forums.

Time is something precious in a business, and cheat happens is a business.

show some empathy! By reading thru the instructions provided for you, allocate some effort on your part as a member before posting on the forum. Because time spent by developers on the forum could be put on making great trainers and I really do believe that is what everyone wants in the end.

Anyway… my paying membership is soon ending and that’s fine, I’m gone renew it because I feel and see that you people provide value for my money and that’s one way of showing my support.

Keep up the good work and I hope this post motivates you all.

Hmmm i have one question, cuz don't know why i can't activate trainer ?

Well first i opened trainer, and when i press F1, it tells me that it canot find game, that's correct.
Then i opened game from launcher and F1 button stops respond. Cannot activate trainer at all, that's weird. It's a first time i see something like that ..

Ok no matter any more .. do i said that i hate windows 8 ?? Well i hate it :P

Try not renaming the trainer and just executing it, my issue is that the game starts fine, and the trainer does too, but then as soon as I hit f1 it just says activated over and over and over. I've disabled my antivirus and don't run any other cd rom or dvd emulators and have all processes running in admin mode. I also made sure they are running 32 bit on Win 7 X64. Is there something else obvious I am missing, other than what is on the FAQ? I've had this happen with some other trainers too but not all of them.
