Is there some trick to get the trainer to work with Steam version? I have trainer activated but cannot seem to do ANYTHING with it. When I try to use my numberpad it often makes the game crash to desktop. Please help!

Did you follow the exact directions in the NFO file that came with it?

Using this Trainer
------------------
Launch the trainer first, then launch the Game and go ingame, wait until your giants and a clan/village is visible. Select the main clan/village building and press F1.
Listen for SECOND "Trainer Activated".
Press desired hotkey (trainer) and/or click on the upcoming green mark/arrow next to the value you've selected (editor) to change it.

I using Reus v1.0-Update 1 Plus 5 Trainer

Followed your instructions...
Pressing F1 button seems to do nothing. Pressing the "Ins" button on my numberpad makes a "beep" sound then the game crashes.

May I ask you a question: Are you sure your trainer is made by us? I don't see you are an unlimited member.

Now that I have the trainer it seems to rejuvenate the game. A good thing!

Question: Will there be a new trainer that allows one to add awe or natura to the villages?

I defer to 0x90 above, he made this trainer. He asked if you were sure you were using the trainer from CheatHappens?

He is now an unlimited member. Anyway no more options are planned yet.
