Trainer Causes game to crash (Heroes 6) on Feedback, Complaints or Problems Message Board - Page 1

I started the trainer and game with no issues, even got the "Trainer activated" feedback of confirmation.

Once it starts to play, it crashed.

Using IE9, Win 7.

I am also having the same problem with King Arthur 2: The role-playing wargame other than Heroes 6: Shades of Shadows

This is not enough information for us to give suggestions other than to go to the trainer troubleshooting guide.

Hi Neo7,

I follow the troubleshooting guide and still the game crashed.

I am using the version as stated in the trainer that matched the the retail version for both games.

The games crashed when I started to activate respective cheats.

What other information do you require?

I can confirm that the latest version of the trainer works as it should with the latest Steam version of the game so the problem is definitely on your end. Do you have the latest version of the game and the latest trainer?

I was reading something on the forum about some users not being able to update to patch 2.1.0 so go to this Link if you think it would help and try using the latest trainer if you're not doing so already (also try re-downloading the trainer, I've seen some trainers being changed even though the game was not updated).

Also make sure your antivirus or firewall isn't blocking the trainer while it's trying to authenticate your account.

I hope this fixes your issue otherwise it's just a matter or trial and error, stuff like running the trainer as Administrator, making sure you have the latest versions of .Net Framework and Visual C++ Redistributable (I'm not sure if these are required for the trainer to work properly) etc.

EDIT: And make absolutely sure you're not trying to use the trainer in any online mode.

I didn't use it online, will try to download the 2.1 patch now.
