I'm now stuck for the last hour at a point where I'm supposed to jump over a gap and every time I do I fall to my death! What combination of key am I supposed to press in order to pass this point?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

err, more info would be useful, the level for instance?

the gap in the station just hit F to sprint and jump if its the brigde

If it's the gap where Spock says that there is little chance of success if you try to jump, there is a console on the other side, just activate it. If it's the part where you have to jump on stuff to avoid electrified water, just die once and then imediately after respawning rush towards the second platform before the electricity is turned on, this way you only have to jump twice to reach the door.

I'm not stuck there. I am now stuck on the Gorn world in a similar situation. I think I have to agree with IGN this game is as buggy as hell.

Well I was able to get past the latest platforming section by using super speed. You know I think they should call this game Mario Star Trek! but my little pet name for it is Star wreck the video shame.
