Can helena get a melee weapon as Leon or is it only him?

not that i have seen i played through Leons campain as Helena and never got a melee wepon plus i think leon starts out with the melee wepon on him

Nope. Only melee weapon on here is the alternate costume in Mercenaries. Of course, that needs to be unlocked with an A ranking or above.
