F2P pretty much all turns into P2W, it is a matter of business, but while that seems to be the majority argument of certain players, I do not find that to be repulsive. I don't mind paying for DLC unless the DLC was clearly designed to fix a bug that should have been fixed with a free patch in the first place.
What I would miss the most is the lack of a story-driven single player campaign. Though there are rumors that it may be released as a DLC which I would purchase with high probability if it is made available.
While not completely god awful, i still regret buying this game...

The idea so far is you are rated by the purchases you have made either by in game money or via the store. So your rank will be based on this, and obviously you cannot play against lesser ranked players - this is also a good thing as people won't be able to boost other people or accounts by letting them win against their uber accounts.
This is all in the works so no guarantee this will be what the finished product will be.
But they are generally interested in bringing back old titles to current engines, so you could be playing C&C 1, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 1 and 2 in the new engine.

Why?
Being very, very cynical I can see them 'moneitising' these titles into P2W titles on FB or somewhere else (a new social platform maybe?), what next, bring back the old 16 bit era titles to modern consoles?
Yes, C&C1/RA/that era of games was good for its time, but why try to revive them, instead let them be.
That's like saying they're bringing back a 1970s Jimi Hendrix album because they're interested in his music. Just because they're interested doesn't mean they'll leave it alone and simply port it over as a whole. I mean, this is EA, all they care about is money, Money, MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and as a business that's their main reason for existing, they just happen to make games. They'd do the same if they made cars or food or guns or planes or anything)
