No anti-virus that automatically removes it? I had that problem for a while until I temporarily deactivated it.

I'm having an issue now that I've started a new game. I'm using the 1.05B trainer with the same version of the game.

The money cheat works fine, I followed the directions in the readme and it works.

The research cheat crashes the game every time I attempt to activate it even following the directions to the letter in the readme. The game gives the following error; "Attempted to write to protected memory".

I'm going to attempt an older version trainer.

[Edit: I forgot to post this yesterday, I downloaded the 1.05B #2 and it worked fine. My bad for not looking closer at the download list.]

[Edit2: Now the 1.06S trainer is doing the same thing stated above, money works but hitting the research button crashes the game. Steam version.]

Hi there,

Not all trainer options work for me.I have the steam version updated to 1.06S. I start the trainer as administrator and hit F1 at Start screen of the game. Trainer gets enabled. In the game itself, when i hit num1 the voice says, cannot find game. Then a few seconds later activated. Everytime i hit num1, the money gets higher. So that works. But num2, the technology tree, when i hit num2 it says cannot find game. A few seconds later activated. But when i then enter the technology screen, the game crashes immediately....

Hoping for help...

has anyone noticed, regardless of which trainer you are using, with the fast research option the pc is also able to do the same? Or is it just my imagination..

My only match i did not encounter such. Enemy still had fighters and tiny frigates facing my epic battleships. Crushed em in 5 mins. (Delay was the result of them having so many planets.

i may be very stupid but i cant play the game anymore. I've been playing for about an hour and the game lags super hard now. i don't know what my system is barley being used. i have an AMD hex core black edition overclocked to 4.2 and a radeon HD 6800 any ideas i really want to play this game. thanks in advance. also 10gb of ram

I've got the same problem as xevi0us. Just started a game and the kulrathi have colonized 4 worlds, have medium freighters and a cruiser after 4 minutes! On easy difficulty!

PC must be using the fast research option somehow.
