Thanks RockPaperShotgun for informing me, but...
RPS have stated that the guys at Crytek (who are owned by EA btw) and made Far Cry 1, Crysis, et al) wawnt 'single player games to go away' and be 'online or connected SP'
So, how's this going to affect people? I don't mean just CH, who I can see possibly not being able to make trainers for (say) an EA always on FPS, but I'm more concerned with people who either a, have a bad connection or b, have a data cap on it.
Source, I hear you ask, Right here!

I doubt every game will have the SP be online. Developers know that a large part of the gaming community like having regular offline SP. They know that if they started making SP be online that they would lose a large portion of the gaming community and money as a result.
Yea, and that was the reason I didn't bother playing Diablo. I am pretty sure that I and a lot of you guys are part of a dying race. These games have huge sales, lots of ppl don't seem to mind that there isn't a SP offline. Pretty sad. No more cheating would suck balls, I ain't 12 anymore with stamina at 150%, my battery is running low I need to cheat because I have become a lazy gamer.
Sadly it is true that we are part of a dying breed of gamer. The younger generation is so used to everything being online that it isn't even an issue for them that you can't play SP without someone looking over your shoulder to make sure you're playing it "right". If I bought a copy of the game I want to play it the way that I want, if that means cheating a bit, then that's what I'll do. Hopefully the industry doesn't totally forget that it was gamers like us who got them where they are today, but I'm not holding my breath on that. Also, I don't see cheating as being lazy, I just see it as playing with house rules.
