Witcher, The (Enhanced) Discussion
I have the retail version patched to 1.5 and when I start up the trainer, it comes up then sits there for a bit then it comes upo saying that it has stopped working. then asks if I want ot check online for a solution or close program. I've done everything on here, disabled my AV and firewall (leaving my computer exposed and would not recommend doing this) tried running things in Admin and still get the same problem.
I have been experiencing the same issues here. The various Witcher trainers either have no effect, crash the game or crash on start-up.

Do I have to uninstall IE10? I'm not quiet sure how to but I'd be willing to do it. I never use Internet Explorer.
No I didn't realize that I needed it. The post isn't entirely clear either. Is IE 10 the problem or the solution?
Okay I looked at another thread detailing the problem with IE 10. I checked and I do not have the specific file listed. I don't know if this will help but I do have the steam edition of The Witcher. Truthfully I am having some trouble locating which version I have.
Ok. So I uninstalled IE 10 (it was the culprit for not letting one trainer not start). But now I start the trainer, start the game, get to the main menu and press F1 to hear "Trainer activated). Now when I start the game the game crashes. I've tried all the 1.5 patches on the site and they all do the same thing. Is there a way to make sure that I have the correct version? Whether it's steam. retail, or upgraded version?
