Gawker reports that on Feb 15th, a meteorite flew over Russia, probably landing in the Chelyabinsk region, injuring around 950 people, and damage in six cities. In the article are several videos of the space debris from varying angles.
A commenter suggests that this meteorite was previously stated to be a flyby, raising the question of whether or not today's "flyby" will result in the same manner. However, no obvious proof is present to back him up.
