It seems with the latest version of System Shock 2 (2.44 patch), the trainer being activated prevents you from opening your MFD menus/PDA/Stats/Etc., though Inventory works properly as far as I know.

Details: GoG version 2.45*, tested on Win7 64 with latest trainer (February 14, 2013; v.2.0.0.9 GoG), both exes on admin. mode (game/trainer).
Sure the trainer still voice "Activated" as well as every Numpad presses state "On" but without the desired effect.
There two different method to enable God mode (gathered from forums):
1)"Create a file called user.cfg in your main SS2 folder and there type undead in the top line and save. But remember that if you save the game this way, undoing the cheat will not remove it from the "infected" savegame."
2)"Bring up the console by pressing SHIFT + ; and type "undead" without the quotes and hit ENTER."
*: The file version is still 1.0.0.0 while the product version is 2.45!
