King Arthur was supposed to be a British leader who commanded the defenses of Britain against a Saxon invasion. There was no magic. At least this is one of a few leading theories along with the other which is he never existed and he was just a popular tale.

Crusader Kings II does not, and in my opinion, never should include magic. It's based off of history with a focus on diplomacy and intrigue. IE assassination, strategically placed marriages, earning claims and declaring war. All of the expansions, except Sunset Invasion, have some sort of relevance on history. IE Republics, Eastern Rome, Muslims and now pagans.

Going back any further and you're pushing into the Western Roman era or the era at which East and Western Rome were one (27 BC- 476 AD). At which point you might as well play Europa Universalis: Rome.

Moat likely because they think it would be fun to see how CK2 would play in a later time period.

That did not make any sense, but I will take your word for it.

It is coming out in the 2nd quarter of this year, date yet to be revealed.

it does make sense.. when there are and event pop up for when someone die, rather than say he die because of leper, why not say he die by the work of the devil. or this man or women has been kill by magic, but the true is that you had send an assassin to kill them..

you know all those thing when people still afraid of magic, but it doesn't have to be a true or real.... you ask for gun &rose. so I ask for magic or fake magic... lol

Apparently you still do have levies to speak of, according to their live stream. You can also declare your intentions of war and still have Army of eager Vikings and take land.

Also they made it so you can convert to christianity peacefully or refine (I believe was the word) your own Pagan relgion to be more like christianity, ie have a religious head. I'm not sure if this means Pagan Crusades, but if it does, freakin' awesome.

Raiding can only be done to coastal provinces and requires a boat be near by your raiders to store the gold. You will only get the gold when you have returned the boat back to one of your provinces. War and previous raids effects the total value of the town, and you will become hostile to those you raid (they can attack you, but you are not technically at war, lasts a few months after the raid).

You can raid provinces by rivers as well as the Viking longboat could traverse rivers historically, but they are the only ones who are able to use these river systems. So you can cut through all of Europe and get to the Byzantine Empire and then run away quicker than they can catch you!

A new technology screen allows for easier use and development of your country's technology, as you can now choose which technology you want to advance with points that automatically generate. I imagine your points will increase faster with better council members aiding them.
