Not sure if this helps any but here is what the log says, as I'm having the same problem. Only trainer I've had a issue with in over four years.

I also tried opening the trainer, then going to origin and launching the games, and then go to the main menu of the game and press F1 and hear nothing. I am using Windows 8 pro, and have .NET Framework 4.0.
