MP3 Super Tagging ? on General Discussions Message Board - Page 1

WAY back in the day, Musicmatch Jukebox had a feature called Super Tagging that would automatically go through all your MP3's and correctly (mostly) tag them with Artist, Song Name, Album, etc...

I can't really find anything that does this anymore. Any ideas ?

Did someone say Musicmatch Jukebox!

First app I remember that would encode tracks from a CD into MP3.

Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Yeah was a great little program. I bought a lifetime membership for it AGES ago, like pre-2000 I think. Now it's been turned into some Yahoo program that sucks.

Nothing has ever had the same super tagging function that I've found.. it was awesome. You could select a batch of songs (not more than 50 in the days of 56K Modem) and it would check it's database online and usually correctcly tag the songs for you automatically.

I realize it is not the premo playback program, but does not Windows Media Player automatically do this if you leave the default options in place? You can alter what information it updates in the programs properties under the "Library" tab.

That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

I'm also looking for a auto-tag program for my obscure artists archive. But for now I'm used to tag them manually.

Yeah Yahoo ruined it, and thats why it went bust because they limited the one good thing about it, its immense functionality.

I also like to ask what's your major problem about tags? Where do you take your music files regularly? If you rip CD use a program like Winamp.
