I am a little shocked that Dishonored did as well as it did since nearly everyone I know tells me it is a title that will be best suited for the bargain bin. However, I have as yet to be thoroughly disappointed by a Bethesda title so perhaps I will have to give it a go a little sooner. Most surprising to me was how poor of a showing the Witcher 2 received. Sure, it got attention which is more than most games did, but I felt that the game was phenomenal. To make the game even more appealing the creators did something unheard of these days. They updated the game and improved it, and then charged absolutely nothing for the additional content. Its graphics, storyline, and game play were all equally impressive. Another shocker to me is that Skyrim received no mention at all. Although I loved Mass Effect 3, and have enjoyed what little I played in Diablo 3, I feel that Skyrim easily bested the two. I do not own an Xbox 360 so I cannot speak for any of the titles on that console, but I do feel that Skryim likely trumped a driving game. For the PS3, I have not played any of the winning titles, but have heard rave reviews about Journey's soundtrack and the game. As well, I have heard wonderful reviews of The Unfinished Swan (they are on my list of games to pick up). Still, even on this platform I am certain that Skyrim could have received some notice. I realize that I am carrying on about the title, and I am not trying to go so far as to say that it should have been game of the year. I am only surprised that it got completely snubbed in the listings. Props to Mass Effect 3 for its showing. That was an extraordinary experience, and I look forward to the next Mass Effect entry (if and when it ever comes).

Edit: Oh, and the paragraph describing Playstation All Stars is actually the short review of COD Black Ops 2. Just thought that I would point it out.

    Skyrim came out in 2011

Has it been that long already... . Oh well, I still think The Witcher 2 deserved a better showing.

This just goe's to show one mans meat is another mans poison,i purchased the first WITCHER and the enhanced edition i could not get my head around the mechanics of the way you had to fight so i shelved both versions.

Another game also is The Game of THRONES i watched the first series on TV and loved it so i bought the game what aload od C-rap the way the develpoers have changed the mechanics of the game goodnes knows why developers do this plus the amount of video is rediculous.

O.K. yesterday i purchased Dishonored it was a real bargain at £20:00 includes the Tarro pack of cards, its the special edition so glad its at the top of the list.

I'm glad Dishonored got GoTY. Not surprised in the least. It was a great game. My only complaint is that is was too short.
    But,otherwise it's a game i have been waiting for,replayable,and enjoyable.

    The witcher 2 IMO,is a close second...

I kind of have a problem with the credibility of a list that has Diablo 3, which was almost universally considered disappointing and sometimes even downright bad, as the PC game of the year. I just find that laughable, and that pretty much makes me question the validity entire list.

Look, I can see why Diablo 3 might be a top game for some people, but seriously, it being named PC game of the year? Seriously, that takes the cake, and we all know what cake is.
