CH computer gods and friends,

Can anyone help me here. I upgraded to windows 8 , and cant get the goty edt to run now on windows 8. Its the steam version. I've tried some multiple fixes, such as the d3dll fix and renaming files to exclude the intro video. No joy, as this game was my first foray into rpg- esque, it is one of my favourites. Can anyone offer any suggestions? in advance

have you tried running the game in compatibility mode?
maybe try XP sp3 (not talking about windows xp mode)

tried uninstalling games for windows live from your computer then downloading and installing the latest version from the internet?

Hi guys,

Tried both of these. The issue is that the launcher is opening, but when you click on begin game it stops and a centre of a doughnut is all you get. thank you guys for reading my post though, still waiting to find out.
