XCOM: Enemy Unknown Message Board  

Hey all,

So, the last level, the very last room... 3 Ethereals...

I'm going to make an effort to hide my insane rage towards the game and ask for some pointers from those that did beat it.

Basically, I enter the room, Ethereals mock me, and mind control 3 out of my 6 guys... If there's one thing I hate, it's the AI having some game breaking ability and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. -_-

What the heck am I supposed to do here? Even if the Ethereals can't SEE you, they just mind control your guys through walls FFS. Also, mind controlling an Ethereal is impossible while he's mind controlling someone else... ARE YOU... KIDDING ME? WHY?!

Is mind control temporary? Like it would be for me, or is the AI's ability permanent? Should I just run in and pray that all my 60% shots hit him in one turn? Should I just CoSMOS or trainer the crap out of them? Anything works for me.

Hah, nevermind. Played a multiplayer match and found the best way to kill... everything.

1 guy, or in this case 3 assaults, armed with ghost armor + Alloy cannon = GOOD GAME EVERYTHING. Can't mind control what you can't see and blasts the living shards out of you.

in my game I equipped all my guys with "mind control resist" gears so good luck with mind controlling my guys hehe..

pretty much those 3 bosses at the end tried to use mind control entire fight while my 2 Psi mind control the 2 dudes at the end so they can walk up the platform where the 2 bosses were hiding to reveal a line sight for my snipers to get better aims.
