whats the difference between bfg and normal edition of doom 3? other then the obvious name that is...

It's also a modified engine, instead of being IDTech4 it's incorporating parts from IDTech5 however while it does have a few advantages it also renders all Doom 3 mods incompatible and has far lesser customization such as user options and console commands.

Yep. Also, Doom 3's campaign can be played co-op with 4 players max if you have the required mod, which is THE reason why I won't be getting this.

I bought D3 back when it was brand new, and now open-coop makes the game so darn awesome to play with friends.

they made a console port: no graphic options, no sound options, no controller mapping, they took out the melee, you can't skip cutscenes, no mod support so far. B S

so in other words its the vanilla game with the add-on baked in with prettier graphics?

Not even prettier graphics. Looks like the same game to me, with the exception it incorporates the parallax mapping. Thats. about. it.

The Only Difference is the Title Screen lol
