It did the same thing for me, had two runes and used the fuction, had zero after that.

EDIT: Weird, exiting the game and re-entering and trying again got it to work, I went from 2 runes to 27.

Not sure if it's even worth trying to fix, but sometimes when you're in the inventory and using the 'add coin' option, it crashes the game with a flood of errors.

Like I said though, this is easily avoidable if you just make sure you close the inventory before using the option. So I'm not sure it's worth trying to fix, this post is more for the benefit of people who may encounter this issue and come looking for a solution.
